At only thirty two years of age, Raikkonen already has eighteen grand prix wins under his belt, as well as two years spent competing in the World Rally Championship and Nascar.
He is now set to return to Formula One, however, following his announcement last November that he has signed a two year contract with Lotus-Renault.
At the moment, he is test driving the R30 2010 Lotus-Renault model in Valencia in preparation for his return to grand prix competitions in the company of his Lotus-Renault team mates.
He has been quoted as saying that it will take time to get used to the new car and his team mates, but that the principles of F1 driving come back pretty quickly.

Test performances held at London’s O2 arena on Tuesday by the British Olympic Association resulted in a heart-breaking drama for Britain’s rhythmic gymnasts.
The team, who have funded their bid themselves and with the help of their parents, needed to achieve a score of 45.223 in order to qualify to compete at this summer’s games. This target was set by the BOA and British Gymnastics, despite the fact that as a host nation they could have places regardless. The BOA have decided, however, that any British team going to The Games must have proved themselves worthy of the place, and stand by their decision.
On Tuesday, the girls missed their target by 0.273 and saw their dreams for the future shattered.

For the first time since 1992, six Brits qualified for a Grand slam tournament, and two of the six were women under the age of twenty. Any elation was short-lived, however, as five out of the six were eliminated during the first round.
So, this leaves Andy Murray as our only hope of shining in the Australian Open. He has just beaten his first opponent, and many commentators seem to think that he is capable of going all the way, although some still feel that Roger Federer could deprive him of the chance of winning.
Fingers crossed, then, that Murray proves he is capable of winning the tournament.

After their victory over Manchester City yesterday, it has been announced today that Steve Gerrard has renewed his contract with his club. Steven Gerrard made his first team début at Liverpool FC fourteen years ago, although he has been signed to the club since he was eight years of age. Today, he has signed another new long-term contract with the club that are obviously anxious not to let him go. They have also offered him an ambassadorial role at the club for when he retires, meaning that he may make it through the whole of his career only working for one club. Whoever said that no-one has a job for life anymore?
