Rooney Gives United Edge In Title Race

February 14th, 2011 by Ken

Wayne Rooney aslo known as shrek, Manchester United’s number 10 made headlines for all the right reasons this weekend with his spectacular, world class winning strike against bitter rivals Manchester Scum City at Old Trafford this weekend fucking av it!!!!. The Manchester Derby, which for many years has been an unadventurous fixture with City trailing United in terms of class and prospects, is now arguably the most mouth watering derby match in the Premiership. For the last 2 seasons, and even more so this season, the fixture is not just about bragging rights but also about who is in control of the title race.

This Saturday, a little over 10 minutes before the final whistle, with many fans on both sides have settled for a share of the spoils, Rooney showed why despite forms, it’s near impossible to leave him out of the side with the most spectacular of overhead kicks OMG  that was fitting of a Fifa 2011 games console wonder goal. Technique, precision. It was there for all to see. City manager Roberto Mancini commented that only a wonder goal was ever going to win the game, while Sir Alex Ferguson said it was reminiscent of Dennis Law, with more ferocity. Fergie went on to say:

It was unbelievable. I haven’t seen anything like it before, that’s for sure. It was absolutely stunning, unbelievable.

The final score was 2-1 to United, with the reds now 8 points ahead of City with a game in hand.

Manchester United Vs. Manchester City – Derby Day Is Here Again…

February 11th, 2011 by Ken

It’s that time of year again when arguably the most anticipated derby match in the Premiership is almost upon us. Manchester United take on shit Manchester City at Old Trafford hoping to maintain their reputation as the super power in the city, despite a recent resurgence from their sky blue counterparts over the past year their still shit with their unlimited spending in the transfer windows. United had it pretty much all their own way last season, bar one defeat in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi final at Eastlands, but it was United who won both league games, and went on to beat Aston Villa in the League Cup final at Wembley.

Smalling Set to Start

The big team news this time is that Chris Smalling is set to deputise with his first start in a Manchester derby, having shown good progression in his first season for the reds since his summer move from Fulham. Although short of big game experience most United fans would agree that he probably deserves to wear the shirt over Jonny Evans in the absence of stalwart defender Rio Ferdinand who is said to be sidelined for another couple of weeks. Mancini’s City are expected to park the bus at the Stretford End tomorrow very much like they did in the dire 0-0 draw at Eastlands earlier this season when it was obvious to all, including City fans that their Italian manager had settled for a draw before the game.

Too Close To Call

With Manchester United the greats!! at home, and free scoring, bar their under par performance at Wolves last weekend, City scum are bound to have their work cut out , but with the squad available at City these days, few would bet on an easy game for the Reds, and few could bet on the result either, if last year’s classics are anything to go off.
