May 24th, 2010 by Ken

It has to be said that Jose Mourinho has pretty good record that many managers can only dream of achieving have won domestic titles in the English, Portuguese and now Italian league we can only think he is off to Real Madrid to try and get the Spanish league under his belt also.

After his current Inter Milan team won the Champions League final against Bayern Munich in a comfortable 2-0 win he becomes only the third manager to win the European Cup with two different clubs.

It now seems certain that he will leave Inter this summer and start a new chapter at Real Madrid.

Goalkeeper - Casillias,

Defender – Lucio, Evra, Ramos, Cannavaro,

Midfielders – Kaka, Lampard, Ribery,

Forwards – C. Ronaldo, Messi, Rooney

I think this team has the players to watch out for however i am sure there is going to be other players who make a name for them self’s at the tournament

Amir Kahn stops Paulie Malignaggi

May 17th, 2010 by Ken

It is said that it is every boxers dream to fight at Madison Square Garden with the likes of Ali, Frazier, Holmes, Holyfield, Lewis, Duran, Ray Leonard, Jones Jr. and Mosley who have all fought in the world’s most famous ring.

This time round it was British born Kahn who was defending his WBA light-welterweight belt against American Paulie Malignaggi and Kahn never looked like he was going to loose .

Amir Kahn showed great maturity picking out the punches and using the Jab to great effect. The fight was stopped by the Ref in 11th round after Paulie looked like he was about to be KO’d by Kahn.

Road to the world Cup 2010

May 14th, 2010 by Ken

It is not long now till the opening game kicks off for the World Cup and although the Domestic leagues are only just finishing i cannot wait for the world cup to start.

My only thoughts are that the players do not get very long to rest and recover from any little knocks niggles they have before starting the rigorous tournament.

This makes me think that certain players are going to be exhausted and not have such a great tournament due to the long season they have had.

There is bound to be some players that take this tournament by storm some that you may have not even heard of but that’s the joy the World Cup brings.

Chelsea are English Champions

May 10th, 2010 by Ken

As many of you would have seen yesterday Chelsea lifted the trophy after missing out three years in a row to Manchester United.

The race for the top was very close with only one point between the top two teams and one game remaining. Chelsea had it all to lose with Manchester United Knowing only a win would keep them in contention if Chelsea where to fall short.

The games finished with both teams wining however United where unable to prevent Chelsea lifting the trophy after a 8 – 0 thrashing over Wigan many say they deserved it i say bring on next season!
