Although there was only a slender chance of Michael Owen making the world cup this summer im sure with that thought in his mind he made sure every time he got a chance to play he took his chances.
However during the Carling Cup Final against Aston Villa Owen pulled up while running and straight away new it was his hamstring this was a shame as he was having a great game with one goal on the score sheet. He was replaced by Wayne Rooney who went on to Score the winner.
Owen had a scan on his injury which shows the hamstring problem sustained will keep him out of action for the remainder of the season ending any chances of a world cup spot.

It’s been quiet now for a few months now and i can’t remember the last time i seen a good high profile fight the last one was probably David Haye Vs Nikolai Valuev which was a great fight to watch.
However for me the next big high profile fight will be between Shane Mosley and Mayweather Jnr who meet on May 1st in Vegas as Shane hopes to put an end to the 41 fights unbeaten record of Floyd Mayweather Jnr.
If you are looking to see a great fight this is the one to look out for an i have a funny feeling that we are going to see a KO in this match not sure which fighter it will be and it is only a prediction however these have been right so far.

The game between Aston Villa and United was intense right from the start and with Villa taking the early lead through Milner’s penalty new we was going to be in for a great game, the lead was not held for long with Own getting on the score sheet levelling things up.
The winner was scored by none other Wayne Rooney who’s top form continues and helped United to retain the trophy.
