Footballers Moving away from home

February 28th, 2009 by Ken

As more and more and more foreign players come over to play in the premier league some of them can handle leaving their families behind but the biggest thing that play on allot of their minds is their belongings back home.

Yeah for many of them it could be a case of coming over and buying a hole new collections of things but not everyone is the same many of the European players like their home made luxuries such as furniture, clothing and cars.

To be honest I think I would be one of those players who if moved away would strongly contemplate shipping over my own luxuries probably would be big containers of food, the only thing I would have to worry about would be the shipping insurance as I would wont to be covered if the ship sunk! Personally I don’t think this would be a big problem to sort out job done.

A Solution to coping with the Sport Coverage

February 27th, 2009 by Ken

I don’t know about you but just lately I am loving the amount of Sport being shown live on TV i am finding everything from:

· Athletics

· Football

· Tennis

· Cricket

· Rugby

· Boxing

The list goes on and I’m sure for all the sporting fans the coverage is well appreciated. The problem i seem to be facing now is that I am finding events on at the same time so have to pull out the short straw on which event to watch. But I think I found the solution to this which includes using my DVD Recorder to copy the over channel. To be honest I don’t know why I did not think of this before and to make it even better I can use DVD Copying so I have a copy of this meaning i can watch it when I’m ready and will always have a copy of it for example if its a final cup game or a big event.

Haley Grice’s devastating ordeal

February 26th, 2009 by Ken

Haley Grice The fiancée of a Premiership footballer Darren Fletcher was held at knifepoint and dragged by her hair as robbers raided the couple’s £2million home.

The gang targeted Manchester United player’s property just hours after he had flown to Italy for a Champions League match.

During the raid his partner Hayley Grice was forced to hand over her £30,000 engagement ring and valuables worth £100,000.

Fletcher, 25, is the latest player to be targeted while away playing for his club.

The gang burst into the Fletchers’ five- bedroom house in Bowdon, Cheshire, on Monday night.

Miss Grice, 25, was at home watching TV with her mother when the three men kicked in the door.

This robbery must have been committed by well organized criminals as they knew where the player lived and committed the crime only hours after the player left for the away game in Italy

I have to ask the question that do insiders have anything to do with this or are the criminals just very clued up with players lives and were bout’s.

As this is not the first time players homes have been targeted.

Clash of the Titans

February 24th, 2009 by Ken

Tonight is the first clash betweens Mourinho’s Inter Milan and Fergusons Manchester United in the champion’s league. At present both teams are lying top of their league and are in great form leading way for a great game of football.

Their are doubts however to who is going to play in defence for United with several of their senior players out injured or suspended meaning their could be champions leagues debuts for, Fabio Silva, Eckersley.

The Inter team looks very strong with few injuries the biggest threat for united has to be the attack force of Milan with Adriano and Ibrahimovic leading the line

Mourinho boasts a formidable record when coming up against Ferguson having only lost once in 10 meetings with United when he was in charge of Chelsea.

February 17th, 2009 by Ken

Frank Lampard’s Spanish fianceé Elen Rives has ended their relationship after seven years and is expected to receive up to half of the footballer’s £25 million fortune, despite them never marrying.

Reports claim that the mother of his two children decided to split from Lampard while she was on holiday in Florida in January.

settlement talks are now underway as to rights to visit his daughters , the split is being put down to Lampard’s grief after the death of his mother in April, but Miss Rives, 30, supposedly hasn’t forgiven the soccer star for his alleged fling in Las Vegas two years ago.

Lampard is one of a long line of footballers who have had to pay out multi-million pound settlements when they split up from their WAGs. Other footballers include:

  • Thierry Henry. The French international gave £8 million to his ex-wife after just four years of marriage.
  • David James. paid out a reported £3 million to his former wife, Tanya, in 2004.

Phony Football Scout

February 16th, 2009 by Ken

I heard about this the other day and though I must blog about this to make people aware. But apparently parents of young footballers are being warned to be vigilant after concerns were raised about a man posing as a Manchester United talent scout.

The man is said to have offered to take boys for trials with the Premier League club when he appeared at an under-12 training session in Poynton, Cheshire.

The man may also have visited a venue in Poulton-Le-Fylde in Lancashire where children’s matches were being played.

Manchester United has urged people to ask for identification if approached.

This man is up to no good and trying to use Manchester United’s good name as a way to achieve his bad plans.

Englan vs Spain

February 11th, 2009 by Ken

England face a tough test of character tonight as they take on European champions Spain in an international friendly.

Fabio Capello has done a great job so far in restoring pride and confidence in the team the country enjoying a hugely successful 2008 under the Italian.

Last year saw the former Real Madrid boss pick up eight victories from 10 outings, including four straight successes in their opening 2010 World Cup qualifiers.

However, Spain promise to be the fiercest test yet for Capello, with the Euro 2008 winners currently Fifa’s No.1 ranked nation, and unbeaten in a staggering 28 matches.
