What a way to end a race!

September 9th, 2008 by Ken

Lewis Hamilton has defended his fantastic move at the Belgian Grand Prix which saw him sadly demoted from first down to third place after controversially being retrospectively penalised.
Hamilton was involved in a head to head with Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari when he was forced to cut straight through the chicane at Spa-Francorchamps.

The move which saw Lewis overtake the Ferrari man but immediately he slowed to allow the Finn back in front, knowing that he would be handed a penalty if he did not.
23-year-old Hamilton legitimately passed Kimi soon after but hours after the race the FIA stewards then revealed that they had decided to demote the Briton down to third for his actions.

Hamilton instantly saw his drivers title lead skimmed from eight points to two and, as McLaren launch an appeal, the driver insists he acted properly.

F1 Grand Prix Sunday

September 5th, 2008 by Ken

This Sunday sees formula one fans in for a great show at the Spa-Francorchamps the longest circuit on the F1 calendar at more than seven kilometres and has plenty of long straights and fast corners through the forested hills of the Ardennes to make it a firm favourite for most of the drivers.

Kimi will be hoping to get the defence of his Formula One title back on track at Sunday’s Belgium Grand Prix, a race he has dominated in recent years.

Raikkonen has been overshadowed by his Ferrari team-mate Felipe Massa and lies third overall behind leader Lewis Hamilton as the drivers go from the streets of Valencia two weeks ago to one of the fastest and most demanding circuits of Formula One.

However Lewis Hamilton is eager to clinch the victory and extend his Championship lead when the F1 circus heads to, Spa. Hamilton currently leads the Drivers’ Championship by six points over Ferrari’s Felipe Massa, putting him in pole position to win this year’s title.

However, in order to do so Hamilton needs a few more victories to add his tally and he’s looking to do just that when F1 races at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.

Hamilton’s fully focused!

August 26th, 2008 by Ken

Lewis Hamilton is confident he can cap his second season in Formula One with the world title.

The Brit believes what he showed last year during his battle with Fernando Alonso that he deserves number one status.
Alonso left McLaren just one year into his contract, claiming he was playing second fiddle to Hamilton.

Hamilton insists he has nothing left to prove after seeing off the challenge of Alonso during his rookie season.
Hamilton rounded off his vote of confidence with a fine performance on Sunday seeing him take 2nd place in the Valencia Grand Prix.

1st place Felipe Massa of Ferrari took the head lines ashe dominated from pole position.  How ever Hamilton showed consistency after their 3 week break and that consistency could see him crowned with the world title.
